Motivation for writing this:
I have around 17000 bookmarks and 2000 categories, and I want to use and organise them better than the tools provided by current browsers’ bookmark managers provide.
Currently only has a popup where a new bookmark can be added by handy category filter that lets you search a suitable bookmark folder even using just the keyboard.
Planned features:
– Change icon if current URL has been bookmarked
– Add subcategory from the popup
– Edit and remove existing bookmarks
– Mobile browser support
– Bookmark multiple tabs at once
– Directory view for organising your bookmarks (ie. replacement for browser’s bookmark manager)
– Directory view will have different view modes, that enable searching, filtering, sorting, import and export of bookmarks
– Drag and drop in directory view, even between the OS file manager and the browser
– Everything should be usable and accessible without a mouse
– Optionally replace browser bookmark management
– Synchronisation of bookmarks between different browsers (maybe with a different extension) using CRDTs
